Phoenix Urban Village · 05 of 15
Mountain preserves meet established north Phoenix.
Paradise Valley Urban Village brings together established neighborhoods, mountain and wash recreation, and major shopping and employment areas in northeast-central Phoenix. It is a City of Phoenix planning area—not the separate Town of Paradise Valley.
The big-picture fit
Urban Villages are Phoenix’s official planning areas. They are broader than everyday neighborhood names, so this page starts with regional context and then points to more specific Locationally guides where available.
The village sits east of North Mountain and south of Desert View, extending toward the Scottsdale edge. Its geography includes the Paradise Valley Mall area, the Indian Bend Wash system, and access toward Kierland.
The housing mix includes established single-family neighborhoods, townhomes, condominiums, and apartments near larger commercial corridors. Lot size, age, architecture, and density vary meaningfully across the village.
Shopping, dining, healthcare, and employment cluster around major intersections and redevelopment areas. Quieter residential pockets sit between those active corridors and the mountain preserve system.
State Route 51 serves the western side, while Tatum Boulevard, Scottsdale Road, Greenway Parkway, and Shea Boulevard carry much of the cross-town travel. The most convenient route depends on which edge of the village you choose.
Phoenix Mountains Preserve access and the Indian Bend Wash greenbelt support hiking, biking, walking, and equestrian routes across different parts of the village.

A long-standing village core now changing through mixed-use redevelopment.
A greenbelt and flood-control corridor supporting recreation and open space.
Mountain trails and natural desert edges along the village’s western side.

These are current district and charter campuses physically located inside the Paradise Valley Urban Village, grouped by the grade spans reported by Arizona School Report Cards.
Important: An Urban Village is a planning boundary—not a school attendance area. A school’s physical location does not determine assignment, eligibility, transportation, programs, or enrollment availability. Online-only schools, administrative district records, and co-located CTED program records are not counted as neighborhood campuses. Boundaries, names, and grade configurations can change. Verify every address directly with the applicable school or district. Directory audited 2026-09-13 for the 2025-26 school year.

About this guide. School directory audited 2026-09-13. Recreation details and posted hours were checked 2026-09-13; entries labeled “Nearby” sit outside the village boundary and are included as practical adjacent options. The market snapshot was generated 2026-09-13 from qualifying Maricopa County sales through July 2026 and Zillow July 2026 asking-rent data. Urban Village boundaries are official City of Phoenix planning geography; they are not neighborhood, school, parcel, or legal boundaries. Campus names, grade spans, types, and profile links come from Arizona School Report Cards; campus coordinates are assigned to official village polygons. Housing, transportation, development, school, recreation, and business conditions can change. Verify decisions for the specific property and review the City of Phoenix Paradise Valley Village page.
